Give your agent context. Keep control.

Connect an external MCP client to the documents and tasks you choose.

Choose the access

Read only, propose document changes, or read and edit. Scope a connection to selected content or the whole workspace. Revocation takes effect on subsequent requests.

Choose the access in an illustrative Chessboard workspace.

Review where it matters

Proposal-only agents prepare changes for a human to apply. Direct-edit agents can update permitted content. Tasks with required human review still need a person to complete them.

A focused agent skill

The first-party Chessboard skill explains context retrieval, safe document patches, questions and handoffs. Install it from Connections. It does not grant access by itself.

Execution stays in your client

Chessboard does not host an agent process or run code from a task. Claims are temporary coordination records; reports describe what the caller says it did.
